Today Combe Martin is a lively place in which to live and a good base for walking holidays or discovering all North Devon has to offer. The village has two beaches both with wonderful rock pools to explore, a beautiful parish church and other interesting buildings, including the well known 'Pack O' Cards' (an inn built to represent a pack of cards). The village is set in stunning scenery, with famous gardens nearby. It offers a variety of pubs, cafes and shops as well as a bowls club and football club.
Combe Martin Parish Council was established in 1894 and has twelve unpaid members who are elected for a four-year term of office. The next election will be in May, 2011. For more information about our activities, please see 'What We Do'. |
